Learning to Fully Rely on the Lord

Hello humans! I am still in the U.S. and for those who don’t know, I am currently in Gainesville, Georgia training and growing with my squad. We arrived here for launch on January 3rd and we will be here until our flight on January 8th. We are very excited and anxious to leave but there are lots of things still in the air with the world being in total chaos during the global pandemic. Today, our team had to get tested for COVID, so we are hoping and praying everyone tests negative so we can continue to get on the field in Nicaragua as quick as possible. I hope you will join me in prayer, for all negative tests! Our week has been a little overwhelming (in a good way) with all of the information and things being poured into us. The plans we have are subject to change at any given moment as well as our routes. Relying on the Lord and having open hands has become second nature, after lots of prayer. As for now, our plans are to fly out of Atlanta on the morning of the 8th, into Costa Rica. Then we will bus to Nicaragua and that will be our first destination, and we will be staying 2-3 months. I have been so blown away with how quickly the Lord is working in my life. Over the past few months, as you all know, nothing has been the same or certain. One thing that has been certain and stayed the same is God’s faithfulness to us. I prayed leading up to this trip to come into this with open hands and to allow Jesus to work in and through me while changing plans to fit his itinerary and not my own. I feel like that has already been true, and I am totally okay with not knowing the future or even what will be happening day to day. During the times where I begin to get stressed about not knowing the plans I immediately quote Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LordPlans to prosper you and to give you a hope and a future.” Learning to fully rely on the Lord doesn’t just apply to me or World Race, that virtue is something everyone should apply to their daily lives. Thank you for your continued prayers!
